I hold a Masters in Counseling from Regis Univerisity, specializing in child and adolescent therapy and have worked in the counseling and social services fields since 1999. During the past decade, I have worked with a variety of individuals and circumstances and have a diverse range of professional experiences from preventative community-based programs to intensive residential/inpatient treatment. My clinical experience includes acute psychiatric care, youth advocacy, counseling children with emotional and behavioral disturbances, self-injury and trauma recovery from severe abuse and neglect.

My commitment to counseling and advocating for children and their families began over fifteen years ago. I spent several years as a youth mentor and summer camp counselor in Manchester, Connecticut and helped facilitate numerous programs which provided after school activities and resources to at-risk youth ages 5-15. After moving to Colorado, I served as the summer Kids Camp Director for the Parks and Recreaction Department in Boulder, Colorado.

For over 5 years, I worked as a counselor and campus supervisor at a residential facility, providing individual and group counseling services to youth ages 6 to 21 with significant mental health and behavioral needs. My graduate internship was at the Colorado Dept. of Human Services and Family Crisis Center where I served as a child, adolescent and family therapist. I had the opportunity to offer individual play therapy, talk therapy and group therapy services to children and their families. I have also researched and presented on infant and toddler cognitive development and the integral role secure attachment plays in the healthy psychological development of children.
